TRAVEL INFORMATION
The “Galileo Galilei” International
Airport, the most important in Tuscany, is only two Kilometres from the city
and offers daily flights to the main European airports with international
connection.
Florence’s airport “Amerigo Vespucci” is
located 4 kilometres from the centre of Florence. Train transfer times to Pisa
are around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Pisa is an important junction in the
National transport system. There are direct railway connections with the
most important cities: Rome, Milan, Genoa, Turin.
The central Rail Station “Pisa Stazione Centrale” is about 1 km from the
Convention hall
Pisa is directlyconnected to the Italian motorway network, and can be reached
by an uninterrupted motorway journey starting from all Italian border crossing
points. It is advisable to leave the motorway at Pisa Nord station, and then to
proceed southward until reaching the banks of the river Arno, where road signs
to the Palazzo dei Congressi can be found
From Pisa Airport to City Centre:
BUS N. 3 and SHUTTLE “navetta” B connect Pisa Airport to the central
Railway station every 20 minutes on working days and 30 minutes on Sundays.
Fare Eur 1,50 for tickets bought on board.
From the Convention Hall to City Centre:
BUSES N. 9 and N. 13 connect the central railway station to the Convention
Hall every 15 minutes on working days and once an hour on Sundays.
Fare Eur 1,50 for tickets bought on board.
Taxis from the Pisa airport to the railway station, city centre and
Convention Hall will cost aprox. Eur. 8,00 – 10,00 at the time of writing.
There are taxi stations at Pisa Airport, Railway station and Piazza dei
Miracoli.
Taxis cannot be ordered in advance in Pisa. They can only be called when
